Scovil confides in Archie his unease about leaving Wyoming and being in NYC, "You can see the kind of man I am. I am out of my county. Hell, I'm clear over the mountains." He goes on to tell Archie that he is in town to see Mike Walsh, Vic Lindquist's daughter, Gil Fox's daughter, and George Rowley.
Ch. 4 - Fritz informs Archie that Scovil received a phone call and left the brownstone.
